Holographic Lit Kit in Rich & Famous

Holographic Lit Kit
Lit Kit in Rich & Famous in size #2
Retail Price: 19.95

I, like most women love glitter. The problem that I run into with when using glitter are all those fall outs landing on my cheekbones and at random places on my face. When I first heard of Lit glitter I did a lot of research on it to see if it is worth the 19.95. After extensive research on how this product works I purchased a set from Sephora. I was a bit disappointed that they did not have an array of colors for customers to chose from in stores. On Lit's official website there are a lot of choices you can chose from and I'm sure in the future if successful at Sephora stores they will order more colors for people to purchase. The store only carried three colors at the time, Superfly which is described as a dark silver, disco diva which is an electric blue based purple and rich and famous which is noted as a brilliant copper. I decided to go with something that would suit most people which was Rich & Famous. At Sephora they only sell the kit which includes one loose color, one 4ml bottle of the Clearly Liquid glitter base and lastly a brush. They claim that there is a three step application process: 1. dip the brush into the clearly liquid glitter base, 2. on an angle, insert wet brush into color covering one side of brush and 3. paint on or fan out starting at the tip of the brush using short fast strokes for proper coverage. Re-dip to cover area or change colors. After following instructions it does stay on your eyes and there aren't any fall outs because of the liquid. The only problem I run into is that I have to put eyeshadow underneath before adding the glitter because if I applied the glitter first there is no way to blend any eyeshadow on the crease where the glitter is at because it would move the glitter/make it fallout. This set is a fun set to spice up your makeup bag for occasions where you want to glam up your eyes. You can apply it like I did on the lid or I think using it as a liner would look nice as well.

Lime Crime and Kryolan

Sadly, I couldn't attend IMATS in L.A. but my sister kindly purchased some things for me that I requested. I didn't want to spend too much so I asked her to purchase three items for me which are two Lime crime lipsticks in Geradium and Babette and Kryolan's hd skin liner in number 10.

I am surprised that not many people know or even use Kryolan. I purchased this skinliner in #10 black and I am satisfied with it so far. This eyeliner is perfect for winged or cat eyes. After applying this it won't budge and really does stay on your skin. I used makeup remover afterwards and it still left a stain from the eyeliner. The regular price is 10$ and is well worth the price, I am looking forward to purchase more items from Kryolan.

This is in the shade Babette by Lime Crime. It is a pretty pale pink and lately I've been loving pale shades on my lips.

This is Geradium by Lime Crime, it is a bright baby pink.
Above are the swatches tested on my arm.

Excuse my hair, I was trying something new. Anyways the above pictures are from the lime crime shade babette.

Above I am using the shade Geradium from Lime crime.

Maybelline nudes

I purchased these two Maybelline from target in nmber 930 and number 940. It is their new line of nude colors and it really interested me. Here are the two lip swatches.
This lip swatch is in  the number 940 touchable taupe. It is a brown nude color in this picture there is flash so it doesn't show up as brown as it really is.

This one is in 930 truffle tease. This is more of a pale pink nude. It is perfect with a smokey eye.

Here are some pictures of me using 930 truffle tease:

winged eyeliner pictorial

Here's a quick picture tutorial on how I do my winged eyeliner. I've seen gorgeous tutorials of winged eyeliner looks and was inspired to do my own. I have almond shaped eyes with a small crease so here is how I did it.
You will need a liquid liner or a felt tip liquid liner is what I find works best and a regular eyeliner or you can opt to buy a gel liner and use a angled brush which will eliminate the need for two products.

1.The first step is to draw a line using the liquid liner/felt tip pen liner in a 120-150 degree angle depending on what shape you want it. As you can see I drew it past my lateral canthus a bit to make an illusion of an elongated eyes.

2. Connect a line from the highest point you drew to the medial canthus making thinner as you get closer to the medial canthus and fill in any open spots as necessary.

3. Using a cream eyeliner I finished up the bottom portion of my eyes stopping past my iris a bit and viola! You now have winged eyeliner!

Revlon matte balm in shameless

This lip balm has been out for quite a while but I couldn't get my hands on it because I could never find it or the shade I wanted would be sold out. Finally, at my local CVS they carried the shade in shameless and I had to buy it. This is dark purple color. The pigmentation is great and it also lasts a while.

Pink Pixie/ Pink Kitty

October is coming up and that means Halloween !! I did a look that you can interchange to either a Pink Kitty or a Pink Pixie. I focused more on the face rather than costume but anyways here is the completed look. For a pixie look you can wear fairy wings and add more glitter to your eye makeup or if you'd like to be a kitty you can draw a nose and whiskers with black eyeliner.
